St Hilaire 2012
Images from our visit to St Hilaire festival in France, 2012
St Hialire is always a spectacular event... This year started off in the party tent with a tribute party to Xavier Murrillo who died in South America while flying XC. Xavier was a local resident of the village and put in a huge amount of time over the years for the festival, especially remembered for his rude T-Shirts and his very entertaining commentary at the launch site of the Coupe Icare fancy dress.
The Flying wasn't as good as in previous events, stable conditions and strong winds limited the height gain above take-off and rain stopped flying altgether on Saturday morning, but the sun shone on most days and it was great to meet up with friends (and family) at one of the greatest free flight festivals around.
